After his “Tangent Arc” series Natsuyuki Nakanishi produced a body of works thematizing the “Arc,” in 1978. This book includes his “Arc” oil paintings dating from 1978 to 1982, as well as preparatory drawings for the latter, essays authored by the Nakanishi, and a digest of his texts quoted by critic and curator Yoshiaki Tono in “Mizue”.
